On the lack of an argument

Hmm, it's been a couple weeks since my last post which means I should say something...but what? As an English major, I'm supposed to begin by carefully considering my audience. Who is my audience? What does my audience like/dislike? What sort of story is likely to capture their interest? How can I most effectively argue my point? As a blogger, I think the answers are pretty easy. My audience is mostly relatives and a few dedicated friends. Since they are dedicated to me, I doubt that they care much what I say and so I can rant on and on about the sorry state of my toe-nails and they will probably read it all the way through. As for arguing my point, if I had a point, there might be interesting to think about fun and interesting ways to argue it. Unfortunately, this is a blog we're talking about and therefore I have no argument except that it is a good idea to take care of one's toenails. So yes, dedicated readers, I am doing well (toenails aside) and although I am very busy and will continue to be very busy for the foreseeable future, I am also happy. Break was good. I went to visit Dodyn etc. in GV the first weekend which was a blast. Then I worked, went to the dentist, went to the mall with mom, got locked out of the van even though we had the keys, did some homework and worked. Thus ended phase two of the break. Phase three began Thursday night with the Core Team meeting before the retreat. It continued Friday morning at 10 and was finally wrapped up around 10:00 on Sunday. The retreat was a blast, I had a great time and I think the teens did too. This past week I had the unusual experience of being busy every evening doing something fun. Dodyn and friends were on break you see. So yes, now this week I am playing catch up with my major projects that I did not work on at all last week. Into every life a little rain must fall and all that. I am also trying to make preparations for Mexico this spring, if you want to donate, I'd love to have your money... ;) Until next time, take care of your toenails!

i like the dentist. personally, i think that it's a good idea for girls to pain their toenails. i find toenails disgusting.
but other than that, i'm glad you're considering your audience.

I don't agree with Ceceilia that girls should pain their nails, nail pain is no good (as someone who used to get ingrown toenails i should know), i do like to paint my toenails though :)

sorry you're now catching up on everything you haven't done in weeks... sigh... such is life. i've got a bunch of that hitting me here at work, and at home... ugh...

hope to see you around soon.
