Invisible Children

I just got back from a screening of the documentary "Invisible Children" about children abducted in Uganda to be forced into soldiering. It was heartbreaking and really powerful. Go to the website www.invisiblechildren.com and find out more about what they are doing to help. It's a pretty amazing story. Basically, these three guys just decided to pack up and go to Africa in 2003 for an adventure and they ended up finding out about these kids who are so afraid of being abducted that they walk from all over the place to sleep in comparative safety below the hospital. It's horrible that they have to do that at all, and there are so many kids crammed sleeping in one place it's just so sad. Anyways, theses three guys made a documentary which has been shown all over the place and they started a campaign to get schools in the U.S. to raise money to build/fix schools in Uganda. It's the kind of thing that really makes you want to do something, and then tells you how. So check out the website and do what you can!
