Phone troubles fixed...yeah!!
Hello all, i'm glad to say that my cell phone is now fixed and I will be accepting calls again...not that I ever really told anyone not to call me when it was broken, but whatever. For those of you who are clueless, my phone broke about a week ago and i've been trying to get it fixed without the use of a car for the same amount of time. Turns out that was impossible, fortunately though the Sers took pity on me and lent me a car today so I could drive out and get the new battery. I have the day off again today, so i'm quite happy I got to sleep in and now have all day to catch up on my school work before break. Break. Ahh, sounds soooo lovely. I'm probably going to stay at school for a few days though before going home so I can get started on all my huge projects while I don't have other, more urgent homework. So, family i'll probably come home Thursday morning and stay through Sunday if that's okay.
Funny thing, just when my school work picks up and gets super busy, my social life chooses that time to go crazy as well! To give you an idea of this, here is the social break down for the past week and upcoming few days:
Thursday: Encyclical Guild meeting. Fun and helpful as always.
Friday: Left for the Amazing Grace Conference in Detroit. I drove down with Senora, Mr. Ser and Sebastian, but they were getting a hotel room from one of their friends and it would have been a tad inappropriate to have me stay there with the three of them so I drove back with Ani K. etc. I had a great time that day.
Saturday: Got up way early to go back to the conference. This was a very long day, but awesome. The speakers were amazing! I also got to go out for dinner with Ani, Jeff and Sebastian to a Greek place where they had flaming cheese and sausage, it was really cool. The people mover is also really fun :)
Sunday: Again, got up really early to go to the last day of the conference. I was not really happy and awake until one and half speakers had gone, but eventually I was back to normal. The whole conference was amazing, i'm so glad I went even though some things were a bit odd and hard not to laugh at. When I got back from the conference, I was home for about an hour and then left to go babysit Michael and Nora while waiting for Gina to come. We had a good time watching Voyager and telling a Georgie Story. Gina didn't come until quite late, but we (Dan, Ani K. and I) went over to see her and hung out with Grandma, Grandpa and her for about an hour.
Monday: Early. Again. So tired. I had a hard time staying awake for my anthro discussion section, I have no idea what she talked about the second half of the class, but it really isn't important in that class anyways. I did try to at least appear semi-conscious, but I don't know if it worked. Then I went to work, went to Mass at St. Mary's, talked to Sebastian for a while, went to my group meeting (which was okay but rather irritating because of that one guy) then went home for an hour or so again and then went to see "we are marshall" with Ani K. It was a good movie, but very much a drama. Saw Janet outside the theatre which was random but nice. Got to bed around 1:00 am.
Tuesday: Finally had a chance to sleep in and did so. Went to class, Mass, home then UCO.
Today: Free from all social obligations, a chance to write this very long post.
Tomorrow: Going to dinner at Kara and Reenie's (and Donal's I guess).
Friday: Going over to Noelle's to hang out and probably spend the night.
Saturday: Going to a movie night put on by Reenie.
I'll stop there. You see what I mean though? Craaazy. I'm really not used to all this socializing, but it is fun. Intersperse school and trying to get my phone fixed and you'll see what a week it's been. Happy Lent!

Wow, look at miss social butterfly. Glad to hear that the conference was good, I heard some funny stories from Reenie about it. See you soon!
hi :) good post. you sure are a social butterfly. i'm ecstatic to see my name on that list twice on one week! yay!
Big fat crocodile tears...not home till Thursday??? Sigh. I just won't even say anything to the admiring young hordes. They'll never know...
Thanks for babysitting by the way. We had a nice time.
With all of the socializing, how are the grades? Ni modo, verdad?
See ya soon.
Happy Lent? Ours always seem horrific. I'm praying for Lenten blessings this year. Join me, please. Oh yeah, the blessings that really do seem like blessings, not those disguised ones!
Thank you for sharing, as they used to say.
I echo d.cous: Wow!
Good for you (there's a double-meaning in that).
Sorry to be clueless, but which Thursday will grace us with your presence?
Hang in there.
