Hmmm, been a while, hasn't it?

Yeah, you're right Donal, my last post was last year. I was just too busy to post I guess. So yeah, quick summary. Christmas was lovely as always despite sickness and a shocking lack of relatives. After Christmas we actually had a party (I don't remember the last time we had one) and it was tons of fun. After that was my Grandparents 50th anniversary which was a blast and definitely made up for the lack of relatives on Christmas. I also had the distinct privelege of learning how to dance the bunny hop and look ridiculous in front of a bunch of people ranging from relatives to complete strangers. It was fun :) Then New Years was fun, my cousin Gina stayed for it and it was nice to have her around. Then Michigan lost the Rose Bowl...sadness. Then I found out that school actually starts on the 4th and I was rather put out. So I went back to school and my classes should be pretty good. I really like my philosophy class and my victorian novels class. Then this past weekend I went on the UCO retreat and that was really good too. And now i'm back at school dealing with a broken printer and needing to leave very soon to go to class. Sorry that this was such a bare-bones post, but I really don't have the time at the moment to fill it in. Maybe later i'll give more details.

Maryn!!! I have a victorian novels class too!!! What are you reading? I haven't had my first class yet, but the prof (guy I had for my film/novel class last semester) told me we're reading Middlemarch. I probably should buy it and get cracking on reading it.

What are you going to read in Phil? Is it a broad class? Or a time period like my medieval philosophy. Hope you read Augustine.

HOLY MOLY!! We're gonna read Middlemarch too!!! We can start, like, a victorian novels group or something!! We're reading Great Expectations right now, I really like it, i'm gonna have to read more Dickens when I get the chance (probably not 'till summer, I have to concede). My Philosopy class is broad and we're supposedly staying away from the bigger stuff (don't know how that will work exactly) but so far it's really good. My professor has an annoying habit of leaving his last button unbuttoned thought, and it kind of drives me nuts. Literally have to struggle with myself to keep from reaching out and buttoning it. Weird, I know. Anyhoo, time to get on with homework. Sigh. TTYL.

OMG!!!! Middlemarch!!?!?!! That's like totally my favorite part of my favorite month! Ok, enough of that. I think that perhaps your Philosopy class is steering away from the bigger stuff" because it's apparently spelled "Philosopy," which I guess is like philosophy, but without all the big philosophical questions, like "what happened to the other h?" and "Where does the lighter fluid come from?" Thanks for posting, Maryn!
