I should have checked my e-mail...
My 9:00 Philosophy class was cancelled today. Unfortunately, I did not think to check my e-mail this morning (I never do in the mornings!) and so showed up for class anyways. I was not alone though, about 2/3 of the class is like me and is reluctant to get up a few minutes earlier, turn on the computer and check e-mail early, early, early. So i'm here in the "fishbowl" wasting time. Actually, not 100% true, I did print out my stuff for tomorrow. My printer is still not working even though Michael found the styrofoam stuck in it and I changed the ink. I guess the good news is, that now it's doing something completely different: it isn't printing out any text. So yeah, have to fiddle around with it some more. Geesh. Also, my laptop is doing funky things. The screen is coming in fuzzy and pale. It still works, but it can be hard on the old eyes if I use it for very long. Hmmm. So i'm having technology problems.
To change the subject, I had a very nice weekend. I got to borrow a car!! I was going to go to the UCO party in Lansing on Friday, but the traffic was so bad that I gave up after half an hour getting me only about 10 miles. So that was a bummer. However, I still managed to have some fun that night; Paulina and I went sledding in the dark. It was fun, but I wouldn't suggest trying to go down a steep hill standing on a sled with another person. It doesn't work very well, I have an enormous bruise to prove it, too. Then on Saturday I went to the ice festival in Plymouth with Natalia and two of her friends. There were some very impressive sculptures and a ton of people. We went out to dinner and the hostess person had to shout things like "CAROL! PARTY OF FOUR!!!" over and over. It was pretty amusing, actually. She had quite the pipes. Then yesterday I drove myself to church and back, had brunch (Natalia was over), drove over and picked up Sebastian and his laundry, hung out for a while, drove Sebastian and Natalia back to campus and drove the car back home. Yes, I drove. Then I hung out at home for a while and played with Nora and Michael simultaneously. This doesn't happen often, and you will soon see why. It started out with Nora begging and me giving in to playing dolls. However, I had promised Michael a Georgie Story as soon as he finished cleaning up. He finished in record time, while Nora and I were still playing. Nora, being a clever older sister, convinced Michael that it would be sooo much fun to have a Georgie Story in which our heroes are attacked by giant dolls. Michael was excited. Chaos ensued. I won't go into detail, but suffice it to say at one point Michael said "Wait, I don't have to sail, i'm humongous!" and it totally made sense. Well, I'm gonna go walk nice and slowly over to my next class now, pray to end abortion on this gruesome anniversary...:(

Wow, lots of driving. Somebody sounds excited :) I also once had a classroom called "the fishbowl," I imagine for the same reason. The building it was in was demolished just after I graduated, though. I don't believe I shall ever understand a Georgie story, so I guess that the quote makes as much sense as I would expect it to.
Yeah, I have to admit that sometimes I am confused at how Georgie stories end up. I think the reason that my "fishbowl" is called that is because it used to be a courtyard, so it has nice ceiling windows but is otherwise surrounded by classrooms etc. And you have to go down some steps in order to get in. All in all, it's rather fishy ;)
wow sad I missed that georgie adventure.
this is lindsey on paul's computer by the way.
Weird, who is "paul?"
