Walking Stick
Well, I am now in possession of a walking stick. It finally wound up in my hands after being passed around to various people. Unfortunately, it was broken in half and missing a leg. However, I managed to glue the pieces back together and it doesn't look too bad. Then I was putting it into the box this morning and one of the legs got caught on a katydid and broke off. Sigh. So I glued that back on and it is now sitting on my desk drying. Sheesh. I don't think I'll touch it again for a while. Too risky. Anyways, those of you who have followed the walking stick drama can rest easy, it's over. At least I hope so...

Why do I think that when this is finally all behind you, you're going to find all the bugs your heart could desire everywhere you go?
Is your teacher going to accept a patched up bug like that? I hope it works out.
I hope my teacher will accept my poor walking stick, i'll find out tomorrow I guess. I also hope that when this is behind me all the bugs my heart desires will show up 'cause I can forsee this being a fun hobby...:)
Gosh Maryn, if it were me, I'd want to SMASH all the bugs I ever see. Especially box elder beetles, japanese beetles, cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, larder beetles, and most most especially those horridly disgusting, writhing, bulbous butted, squisy behinded, leathery ended blister beetles. Yuck.
The mantises, katydids, and most especially walking sticks can stay!
a fun hobby? gross.......
