Who knows.

Yep, I have nothing terribly important or interesting to say, so who knows what will come out. I guess I'm just feeling like I should stay up late because I don't have to get up until 10 tomorrow. But I am tired now. I think i'll end up giving up on the staying up late shortly. Anyhow, I had a pretty good day aside from the tiredness. Went out to lunch with Ani and Dan, it was fun. I also finished reading the encyclical for the group tonight in plenty of time. As always it was a really good discussion. I'm always impressed by the wisdom of these people. Jeff especially is a fountain of good thoughts and relevant quotes. He and Ani are very cute in their married-ness by the way and their house looks lovely. Hey, if any of you readers in the area are interested in joining our Encyclical group you are cordially invited. Every other Monday at 7:30 at Ani and Jeff's (ask me for address if you want to come) and they are great. So yeah. You should come if you can. Well, my eyes are getting droopy. So i'll leave you with with this random quote from my poetry book: "There is more than glass between the snow and the huge roses." Keep that in mind. It may end up saving your life someday...;) It's from a poem by Louis MacNeice called "Snow" in case you're intrigued. So that's that. Bye.

That reminds me, time to trim the rose bushes outside, now that the snow is flying.

I know, kind of Prosaic instead of Poetic, but what can I say, I'm a well-grounded person (get it? Ground, Roses...)

Wish I could join the Encyclical group, but I guess that would entail reading them and timewise, I think I would explode. Sure wouldn't hurt to be able to read them though. How about throwing in a "lesson learned" from each meeting? The rest of us could hang onto your coattails, so to speak.

No,no, that's quite lovely poetry. Nice imagery and metaphor in the "snow is flying" line :) Too bad you can't join our group, I'll try to remember to post something we talked about. That's a good idea. For this one, basically faith and reason are tied together. Here's a nice quote that JP 2 uses:
It is again the Fathers who teach us this: “To believe is nothing other than to think with assent... Believers are also thinkers: in believing, they think and in thinking, they believe... If faith does not think, it is nothing”.(95) And again: “If there is no assent, there is no faith, for without assent one does not really believe”.(96)

See you Wednesday, Reenie!
