Stink Bugs...literally

I'm finding out that bugs stink. I have a bunch of bugs pinned and drying in my room and they are really beginning to smell bad. I don't really like it for some reason. I really need to get a scented candle or something. It isn't an overpowering smell, but it's there. It may even be more annoying because of its subtleness. I don't know if I just didn't notice it before or if it just started smelling recently, but the rotten bug smell is here now and I really wish it would go away. Sigh. On a different note, I was looking at lists of possible majors and minors and I am thinking of Anthropology as a major and Technical Writing as a minor. Only trouble is TW might not be offered as a minor anymore since I only found it in last years guide. I guess I'll have to break down and see an advisor. I know I wanted to be a biology type person for many years, but really I don't think it's for me anymore. I enjoy learning about bugs etc. but I have no desire to research them and come up with theses and all that. I would rather just enjoy them as a hobby/interest. Feel free to comment on my semi-decisions, I will listen to advice. So there you have it. Goodnight.

Hmm, anthropology sounds good/useful. I enjoyed my anthro class enormously. Technical writing will of course be very useful as well.

You could also be a circus performer should all else fail.

Thanks for coming out this weekend, hope you had fun!

And gee, I wonder why you don't like the smell of dead bugs? shocker...

Yeah, it comes in a perfume apparently. Don't know why I don't appreciate it. Must be a weirdo.

Speaking of perfume, I found your Journeys lotion in a box in the basement....

No comment on career stuff except to shout SEE A #^&$*^# ADVISOR WOMAN!!!

On a calmer level, how about the School of Natural Resources. I can totally see you as a nature interpreter to a bunch of wide eyed grade schoolers as you pass around a blister beetle (bagged of course) and tell everyone to feel it's "bulbous, leathery, butt". :)

That might be fun, but unfortunately SNRE is not at all that fun and easy. It really involves finding ways to save the world that involve lots and lots of graphs, charts, and calculus. All of which I despise. If I did want to show kids bulbous bug butts for a living, I could probably get that job without any experience other than this class. It might even be volunteer work, not sure what the demand is out there for bug tour guides. There probably isn't a barbie for it at least...;)
