Crazy biker
Guess what happened to me today? I was waiting to cross the street after class to go to Starbucks to do some research for my group project. The walk light came on, I started across the street but didn't get very far before this guy going full speed on his bike collided with me. He tried to warn me (Woah, woah, woah!!!) but it didn't work since I don't possess lightning-quick reflexes. So we ended up hitting the pavement. I'm not too beat up, just a couple bruises and scratches, and it was actually rather funny how quickly we managed to get up and on our way again (best to move quickly when you're in the middle of a busy intersection) without much ado. So that was the excitement of the day. I also am pretty happy with my annotated bibliography grade which I got back today, which is good news. The aforementioned group project is not much fun, Starbucks won't give us any information we need so we are going to have to scramble a bit to come up with a decent presentation by April 5th. Things are getting busy, but I think for the most part I can handle it as long as I remember all the stuff I have to do. I am at the point where I am coming close to forgetting about my philosophy paper due tomorrow and the workshop on Thursday and coming up with ideas for a couple other papers. I must write it down...

Are you doing a group project on Starbucks or something like that, or were you just going there to study? I'm confused. You should've said something cliche to the biker, such as "Hey, I'm walkin' here!" or "Why don't you watch where you're going?" Pretending to be blind so as to make him feel really bad would've been fun too. Ok, I'm a terrible person. I hope the project goes well!
Yeah, I have a group project on Starbucks. They are not helpful at all. Grrr. They answered one question out of four and that was only common knowledge anyways. The whole biker incident was so quick I didn't have time to say anything other than "yeah i'm fine, are you okay" before it was all over and I was back on my feet and off the street and he was back on his death machine and on his way. Too bad though, those are good lines...
Did you have to write everything down in a planner in your days at SSA?
I recall being Dan's age riding my bike and being hit by octogenarians waiting to turn who didn't wait for the bike traffic to clear. Wrecked my new (bought on sale) down coat and the front of my bike, but I limped home in one piece.
